Born as the only child to a proud Baniya family, business acumen has always been in Pranav’s DNA. It is no surprise then that today he is an inspiring and successful third generation serial entrepreneur. That said, his journey from a reserved and introvertish child to a dynamic and tenacious investor that he is today, speaks volumes of this rather self-made entrepreneur with a difference. What is commendable is that even today, despite a roller coaster ride of failures and successes along his early life, the child in him continues to co-exist and inspire him to remain a student for ever.
By qualification, Pranav holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Masters in Finance and Technology – both from the prestigious New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark NJ, USA. Mathematics and Logic have been his favourites even at an early age and so a life of finance and numbers turned out to be a natural calling when he made his initial entry into professional life.
One - His chance encounter with an Investor who was helping Pranav’s family business in 2014/15 that became a defining moment - so to say - to his entrepreneurial journey and the way he would run businesses going forward. It is this encounter that ultimately led to Pranav drawing out a set of 8 guiding principles that would one day turn out to be non - negotiable factors not just for his stakeholders but personally also to himself and these principles would continue to guide him and ensure that businesses that he associates with will always be result oriented and sustainable.
Two - A chance meet up with Mr Kapil Aggarwal, the CEO of Varun Beverages (Pepsi dealer, Gurgaon) who was a guiding light to Pranav . He helped him discover his potential and empowered him with a futuristic thinking approach that helped Pranav leverage on his strengths and that ultimately led to ILS Ventures being formed with a vision to turnaround stressed manufacturing units.
He fully leverages on the deep technological and commercial skills acquired during his educational stint, to bring unique value to organisations that he is associated with in the form of a packaged and comprehensive combination of skills that includes a Strategic mindset, an Analytical approach and professional metrics management.
He also has a reliable and strong network of co-investors that he can borrow from without collaterals combined with abundant confidence to be able to protect not just his own but also his co-investor’s money through financial discipline and adequate monitoring systems
He is able to step in as a credible trust factor that is the missing link between borrowers and lenders, specially post demonetisation
Most importantly, he is able to fill the gap that is almost impossible for banks to do – in terms of bandwidth and professional expertise to monitor investees on a daily basis
Last but not the least, his proven expertise of being able to turnaround / profitably run 3 standalone ventures prior to ILF journey provides a strong foundation to ILF being able to manage businesses objectively and profitably.
Founder Managing Director of ILS wealth and ILS Ventures Pvt Ltd, a platform that he uses to finance and turn around stressed manufacturing units and real estate projects along with his Co - Investors. ILS ventures has 5 factories and 2 real estate projects under management in which the total Amount Under Management (AUM) is 25 crores. He is strongly backed by a team that is a balanced spread of on the ground support to clients and back end value addition .This is a venture which Pranav prides of being able to articulate a disciplined Management system, high level of Corporate governance and a Data driven decision-making approach that has helped him bring about immense value to stake holders over the past 3+ years during which he has served 10+ clients.
Pranav continues to head Iinteract Learning solutions also founded by him, but limits the number of assignments he picks up. Prior to ILS Ventures, he had a full-time role in Iinteract Learning Solutions which specializes in bringing world-class “Interactive” programs to India. He has conducted many Simulation Based Training Programs with executive of companies like Hindustan Unilever, Ashok Leyland, Amara raja Group, LAPP India, Deccan Herald, L&TInfotech,TCS, Tech Mahindra, Tata Motors, PWC, Barclays Bank and many more. He has also conducted Simulation Based Training Programs at India’s top education institutes like IIM – A, B,L, NMIMS,EDI, St. Joseph Bangalore, XIME, LIBA etc. His total training experience is about 10 Years and has successfully conducted over 200+ business simulation-based workshops.
While teaching continues to be his passion even today, the time resource he is able allocate to this venture is rather limited by choice. Conscious of the fact that scalability is limited by bandwidth that is largely dependent on personal time investment here, delegation is not an option. Pranav therefore continues to serve this passion but with limited time allocation.
